A butter pecan cake mix base gets pressed into a pan and baked until set, then loaded with a layer of marshmallows, chocolate chips, and shredded coconut. A quick trip back in the oven melts everything into a gooey, stretchy, chocolate-streaked slab of pure indulgence.
Five minutes of prep. Six ingredients. The whole pan gone before it fully cools.
Kitchen Tips
- Let the crust cool for just a minute or two before adding the toppings so the marshmallows melt evenly without sinking
- Watch them carefully during the final 2-3 minutes of baking; marshmallows go from melted to burned fast
- Cut with a lightly oiled knife to prevent sticking to the gooey layers
- Add a drizzle of caramel sauce over the top after cooling for an over-the-top version
