60 minThe caramel notes in Dr. Pepper concentrate as it bubbles down with butter, coating each pecan in a sticky-sweet glaze that crisps up beautifully in a low oven.
You’ll need to stir them every 10 minutes while baking or they’ll clump together into one giant pecan brick.
Serve these warm over vanilla ice cream or let them cool completely for a crunchy cocktail party nibble.
Kitchen Tips
- Watch the simmer closely so the Dr. Pepper doesn’t scorch; it’ll go from perfect to burnt in seconds
- Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet with plenty of space between them
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week, though they rarely last that long
