5 minSummer grape parfait is the kind of two-ingredient, five-minute dessert that earns a permanent spot in your hot-weather rotation. Cold seedless grapes folded into lemon yogurt is all this is, but the contrast between the snap of cold grape skin and creamy citrus yogurt is genuinely satisfying after a heavy summer dinner.
The parfait presentation does the work. Spoon into tall narrow glasses for height and chill until serving so the yogurt firms up slightly and clings to the grapes instead of sliding off them. If you’re feeling fancier, layer the ingredients: grapes, yogurt, grapes, yogurt, finishing with a few whole grapes on top.
Lemon yogurt is the right call for a reason. Vanilla yogurt fades into the grape sweetness; lemon stays bright and reads as its own flavor against the fruit. Use a good Greek-style fat-free version for thicker body, or full-fat for a richer dessert.
Variations
- Mix red and green seedless grapes for a two-tone visual pop.
- Drizzle a teaspoon of honey on top and scatter chopped pistachios for crunch and shine.
- Halve the grapes and toss with a pinch of mint chiffonade before layering for a fresher finish.
- Swap lemon yogurt for Greek yogurt plus a squeeze of lemon and a teaspoon of honey for a less sweet take.
