45 minThis is what happens when pizza night meets stir-fry night, and the result is surprisingly fun.
Homemade dough gets slathered with a sweet-savory hoisin-ketchup sauce instead of the usual tomato base.
Then comes a pile of stir-fried Chinese sausage, black mushrooms, water chestnuts, and bell peppers, all kissed with garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
It’s fusion food before fusion was cool, perfect for adventurous eaters who want something different on pizza night.
Kitchen Tips
- The dough needs 1.5-2 hours to rise; plan accordingly or use store-bought pizza dough to save time
- Stir-fry the toppings until just tender; they’ll cook more in the oven and you don’t want them mushy
- Don’t overload the pizza with toppings or the crust will get soggy and won’t crisp properly
- Chinese sausage (lap cheong) is sweet, fatty, and distinctively flavored; find it in Asian markets
Variations
- Add shredded mozzarella or provolone for a cheesier, more familiar Western pizza experience
- Use BBQ pork (char siu) instead of Chinese sausage for different savory-sweet flavor
- Mix sriracha or chili garlic sauce into the hoisin base for spicy heat
Ingredients
Directions
To make crust: Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let set for 10 minutes.
Stir in oil and salt; add flour gradually.
Knead dough for 10 to 15 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place free from drafts until double in bulk (1½ to 2 hours).
Punch down dough and roll into thin crust.
Make 2 pizzas of 12” diameter, ¼ inch thickness.
Place crust on baking sheet.
Combine ingredients for sauce and set aside.
Heat oil over high heat; put in garlic and ginger, stir for 5 seconds.
Add remaining ingredients, except hoisin sauce, ketchup and sesame oil; reduce heat to medium-high.
Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add hoisin sauce and ketchup and stir-fry for another minute.
Spread sauce on dough, then top with stir-fried vegetables and meat; brush sesame oil on top.
Bake pizza at 375℉ (190℃) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve and enjoy.

If anyone is dumb enough to make this is ridiculous. Looking at just the calories in this is so obvious of how terrible this is for your body! Oh my gosh, it's just sickening. I hope nobody actually eats this.
The serving numbers have been updated, now per serving only 178 calories, and the recipe sounds actually pretty good.
