These bars hit the sweet spot between chewy and crunchy, which is exactly why kids reach for them. A warm syrup of brown sugar, melted butter, honey, and corn syrup binds a mix of instant oats, crisp rice cereal, and corn Chex, with sunflower seeds and raisins folded through for texture and natural sweetness.

You press the whole mix into a pan and bake just until the edges turn golden, which sets the syrup so the bars hold together once cooled.

Letting them cool completely before cutting is the step people rush, and it’s the difference between clean squares and a crumbly mess.

Directions

Combine brown sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, corn syrup, honey together in a medium sized bowl.

Stir in instant oats, rice crisp cereal, honey nut chex cereal, sunflower kernals, and raisins.

Spread mix in an 8 inch bake pan coated with non stick spray.

Bake at 350℉ (180℃) oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until edges are golden brown.

Cool until firm.

Cut in squares and ENJOY!
