1 hrsGame day just got easier with this set-it-and-forget-it slow cooker dip that feeds a crowd.
Browned hamburger mingles with creamy refried beans and gets a generous hit of hot sauce for heat, then melts into gooey longhorn cheese and tangy sour cream.
Let it all simmer together in the crock pot for 45 minutes and you’ve got 12 cups of irresistible dip that’ll have everyone hovering around the slow cooker.
Kitchen Tips
- Drain the browned beef well to avoid a greasy dip
- Start with ¼ cup hot sauce and taste before adding the full ½ cup (heat levels vary)
- Serve with sturdy tortilla chips that won’t break under the weight
- Keep the crock pot on warm setting during parties so the cheese stays melted
- Leftovers make an excellent burrito filling the next day
