50 minForget cornstarch; arrowroot creates a glossy, translucent sauce that coats everything it touches without that chalky aftertaste.
This five-minute wonder keeps for a week in the fridge or freezes beautifully for meal prep emergencies.
Tamari brings savory depth while a pinch of cayenne adds just enough heat to wake up your taste buds.
Kitchen Tips
- Whisk arrowroot thoroughly with cold water before heating to prevent lumps
- Stir constantly over medium heat for smooth, lump-free results
- Adjust thickness by adding water; the sauce thickens as it cools
- Use gluten-free tamari to keep this sauce completely allergen-friendly
