Spaghetti al tonno is the ultimate pantry raid dinner.

Canned tuna, tomato sauce, and a handful of staples come together in under 25 minutes for a satisfying Italian-style pasta that punches well above its humble ingredient list.

Green bell peppers and onions add crunch and sweetness, while oregano and garlic bring that familiar Italian warmth.

This is the recipe to bookmark for those nights when the fridge is bare but you still want something that tastes like you tried.

Kitchen Tips

  • Use oil-packed tuna for richer flavor, or water-packed if you want to keep things lighter.
  • Don’t break the tuna into tiny pieces. Bigger flakes give you satisfying bites of fish throughout the pasta.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice right before serving brightens everything up and cuts through the richness of the tomato sauce.
