38 minBubbling fruit under a crunchy, golden topping. That’s it. That’s the whole pitch.
This crumble uses whatever fruit you’ve got, fresh or frozen, tossed with a little sugar, flour, and orange juice. The topping is a simple mix of rolled oats, chopped almonds, brown sugar, and cinnamon drizzled with just enough oil to hold it all together.
Baked in individual ramekins, everyone gets their own perfectly portioned dessert with maximum crispy topping-to-fruit ratio.
Pro Tips
- Berries, peaches, apples, pears, plums, or any combination will work here. Use what’s in season or what’s in your freezer.
- No need to thaw frozen fruit first. Just add a few extra minutes of baking time.
- Serve warm with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of heavy cream for the full experience.
- For extra crunch, toast the oats and almonds in a dry skillet for a couple minutes before assembling the topping.
