40 minForget rolling out dough or waiting for yeast to proof. This pizza skips all that.
A quick batter made from flour, eggs, milk, and Italian seasoning gets poured right into a greased pizza pan to form the crust.
Browned ground beef and green pepper go on top, the whole thing bakes until golden, then you hit it with pizza sauce and mozzarella for a final melt in the oven.
It’s more casserole than pizzeria, but the flavors are all there and it comes together on a school night without any drama.
Pro Tips
- Brown the beef thoroughly and drain well. Excess grease will make the batter crust soggy.
- Tilt the pan slowly to coat the bottom evenly. The batter is thin, so take your time spreading it out.
- Go wild with toppings. Pepperoni, olives, sausage, jalapeños... this batter crust can handle whatever you throw at it.
- Let it rest 5 minutes after baking so the slices hold together when you cut.
